LSU football has a true freshman on the roster that has the potential to be a major star in the SEC.
Running back Armoni Goodwin, a former four-star recruit from Alabama, signed with the Tigers during the early signing period in December. He was rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 7 running back in the country and the No. 6 player in Alabama.
Goodwin likely won’t start for LSU in 2021 — thanks to the presence of Tyrion Davis-Price and John Emery.
But it sounds like he should still see plenty of playing time as a true freshman.
