LSU football is working to bring Cincinnati Bearcats defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman to Baton Rouge.
LSU football has made it quite clear that they want Marcus Freeman to be their defensive coordinator in 2021.
Freeman, who has been the Cincinnati Bearcats’ defensive coordinator since 2017, interviewed with the Tigers on Thursday.
Various reports indicate that the interview went well. Freeman has since returned to Cincinnati to discuss his coaching opportunities with his “inner circle” and Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell.
The Bearcats are hoping to keep Freeman, so it’s not a given that he’ll leave Cincinannti for another job this year.
