Put this season in the books
We'll have a full recap tomorrow, but LSU's time in Omaha came to an end tonight, as the Tigers meekly went down to TCU again 8-4 behind some anemic offense and truly bizarre pitching usage by Paul Mainieri. There is not a whole lot positive to take out of the game, as LSU again was completely dominated by the Horned Frogs.
LSU did finally break its winless streak in the new TD Ameritrade, so this year's trip to Omaha isn't a total loss. But this was an LSU team that was #1 for almost the entire year.
