SAINT LOUIS, MO – LSU began their 2020-21 basketball season with a 94-81 victory over SIU-Edwardsville Thursday night at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri.
LSU was led by five-star freshman Cameron Thomas who shined in his LSU debut with 27 points. Darius Days wasn't far behind as he put up a career-high 24 points. Trendon Watford led the Tigers in rebounds with seven while also dishing out nine assists.
Mike Adewunmi led SIU-Edwardsville with 23 points on 7/10 shooting. Phillip Pepple Jr. put up a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
