The honors keep piling up for LSU gym this season.
Alyona Shchennikova and Haleigh Bryant both earned SEC honors this week for their performances against Auburn.
Shchennikova was named the SEC Gymnast of the Week, after her debut in the all-around. She set a career high in three of four rotations, and of course posted her best all-around score. Her career highs included a 9.90 on vault, 9.875 on beam, and a 9.925 of floor.
Still, her 39.525 wasn’t enough to win the all-around title on Friday. That honor went to Haleigh Bryant, this week’s SEC Freshman of the Week.
