LSU basketball must not have any friends on the NCAA Tournament selection committee.
The Tigers are entering the tournament as a No. 8 seed in the East Region with an 18-9 record (and as a runner-up in the SEC championship game).
LSU will take on No. 9 seed St. Bonaventure in the first round.

But what looms after the first round makes for a daunting path to the Final Four.
And it didn’t necessarily have to be this way for the Tigers.
