Clear your calendars now because LSU has some future out of conference games on the schedule.
The Advocate’s Wilson Alexander was the first to report that LSU and SMU have agreed to a home-and-home for the 2028 and 2029 season. The Tigers and Mustangs will meet September 1, 2028 in Tiger Stadium, and LSU will make the return trip to Dallas on September 2, 2029.
The key word in the agreement is “Dallas” because it’s not explicitly stated the return game will be held on campus at Gerald Ford Stadium. In fact, it’s more likely that the game won’t be at SMU due to the fact that Ford Stadium’s capacity is 32,000.
