Leonard Fournette jersey auction closes at $101,000

Leonard Fournette knows the tragedy of a natural disaster as well as anybody.

At 10 years old, Fournette and his family spent four days on the Interstate 10 bridge at Claiborne in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina washed away their home.

When Hurricane Joaquin rocked the South Carolina community earlier this season, LSU welcomed the South Carolina Gamecocks with open arms. The Gamecocks’ home game against the Bayou Bengals was relocated to Tiger Stadium, and LSU made several accommodations to make their opponent feel at home. They learned South Carolina’s fight song, played “Sandstorm” before the game and donated all ticket proceeds to the Gamecocks’ athletic department.
