Baton Rouge, La. – Terrance Laird, JuVaughn Harrison, and Bennie Brazell of the LSU track and field program were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Tuesday. Laird was named the South Central Region Men's Track Athlete of the Year, Harrison earned the South Central Region Men's Field Athlete of the Year, and Brazell was named the Men's Assistant Coach of the Year in the South Central region.
This is the second straight year that Laird has won this award marking the first athlete to accomplish that feat in this region since 2014.
