USA Basketball announced that LSU senior Khayla Pointer was one of 20 players to be selected to compete for a spot on the roster for the the FIBA AmeriCup.
Pointer has been a mainstay in LSU’s lineup over the last four years and has started every game over the last three seasons.
She led the way for the Lady Tigers in the 2020-21 campaign averaging 16.9 points per game and 4.1 rebounds and assists. She was named to the All-SEC first team by the coaches at the end of the season.
The AmeriCup trials will take place at the University of South Carolina from April 18-21.
