Former LSU center Kevin Mawae will be inducted into the New York Jets' Ring of Honor later this season, the team announced Tuesday.
The ceremony will take place Oct. 1 at halftime of the Jets' home game against Jacksonville.
Mawae, who is on the ballot for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, played eight of his 16 seasons with the Jets and was named All Pro five times in that span. He played four seasons with Seattle before coming to New York and four with the Tennessee Titans after, getting eight Pro Bowl appearances and seven All Pro selections total.
