BATON ROUGE – LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson is one of 50 players from across the country named to the Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club announced on Thursday.
The Biletnikoff Award is presented each year to the top wide receiver in college football. Former Tiger All-America Josh Reed won the award following his record-setting season in 2001.
Last year, Jefferson led LSU outright in every receiving statistical category becoming the first Tiger to do since Rueben Randle in 2011. Jefferson was tops among all LSU receivers in receptions (54), receiving yards (875), touchdowns (6) and yards per catch (16.
