BATON ROUGE, La. — When Les Miles was fired last month, he didn’t walk out the door alone. Longtime friend and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron went with him.
Since Ed Orgeron took over as interim coach, the topic of what he has to do to retain the job full time has been discussed at length. But what about the guy who replaced Cameron? Steve Ensminger has been LSU’s tight ends coach since 2010 but now finds himself calling the offensive shots — and plays — as Cameron’s replacement. He might well be auditioning the same as Orgeron.
