Instead of arresting people at Tiger Stadium, LSU officials need to let them in

BATON ROUGE, La. — After another break-in at Tiger Stadium — the fifth in the past month – LSU officials are wondering how to keep people from trespassing.

Here’s a wild thought: Let them in.

During the 2000 College World Series, play was suspended for a full day due to weather. With nothing to do, my group of four decided to drive an hour from Omaha to Lincoln to see the University of Nebraska. Naturally, our first stop was at Memorial Stadium with the intention of snapping a few photos outside, then moving along.

When we pulled up, the gates were open and people were walking in freely.
