Initial Impressions: LSU 21, Kentucky 42

What else is there to really say? LSU got its tail whipped.

Kentucky scored six touchdowns and LSU scored three. It wasn’t even that close. Let’s recap how it happened.

LSU got the ball first and had a couple of tidy third down conversions before Max John was sacked and fumbled. Kentucky went right down the field and scored when Will Levis found Christopher Rodriguez wide open on 4th and goal. The route was on.

On LSU’s second possession the Tigers creeped into Kentucky territory before facing a 4th and 1. After calling a timeout to be ABSOLUTELY sure we had this crucial call right, Johnson rushed a throw to Jack Bech that would’ve been short of the first down even if it was caught.
