LSU got some good news to start the week as middle linebacker Greg Penn III out of DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Maryland committed to the Tigers’ 2021 recruiting class Sunday afternoon.
After adding a pair of outside linebackers—California’s Raesjon Davis and Georgia’s Zavier Carter—the Tigers finally get a man in the middle with Penn. Penn is a four-star recruit, ranked ninth among all middle linebackers and 183rd overall in the 247 composite. Penn was primarily recruited by Bo Pelini, his first get as the Tigers’ defensive coordinator.
“As soon as coach Pelini got the job, he hit me up and told me he was going to be coming after me,” Penn said.
