LSU’s backfield added another extremely talented running back to its future rotation, with four-star back Armoni Goodwin of Trussville, Ala. signed his LSU letter of intent.
Goodwin was initially committed to Auburn, and had been for over a year. But Goodwin de-committed at the end of November and LSU, who had offered in February of this year, emerged as the favorite to land Goodwin.
Goodwin is a top-100 player nationally and the No. 5 running back in the 2021 recruiting cycle. Goodwin was an All-State selection as a sophomore but injured his ACL and MCL as a junior three games into the season.
