BATON ROUGE – LSU basketball player Henry Shortess is no longer a walk-on after Head Coach Johnny Jones told Shortess and the team in a meeting after Thursday’s practice that he has been awarded a scholarship for the 2016 spring semester.
Shortess, who is a junior in eligibility and in his third year in the program, is finishing up his college undergraduate work in the Ourso School of Business at LSU.
“I am very pleased that we could give a scholarship for this semester to Henry Shortess as he finishes his undergraduate school work,” said LSU Coach Johnny Jones.
