Baton Rouge, La. – JuVaughn Harrison made career appearance No. 5 on The Bowerman Watch List Thursday afternoon. The Bowerman is awarded to the top collegiate track and field athlete each year.
Harrison is coming off a SEC sweep of high jump and long jump titles at the conference meet last weekend. He cruised to the high jump title with a clearance of 7' 2.50" (2.20 meters) before setting a personal best and LSU school record of 27' 4" (8.33 meters) in the long jump. His long jump of 27' 4" made him the fifth best collegiate performer in the record books.
