Baton Rouge, La. – Freshman Monique Hardy registered a personal best hammer throw of 214' 11.50" on her second attempt of the day to win the event to kick things off at the 2021 LSU Alumni Gold.
Hardy's PR improves the LSU record by a smidge. She already held the No. 3 spot with a previous personal best of 214 feat that she bettered by almost nearly a foot today. Emma Robbins placed second in the event with a toss of 214' 6.75" (65.40 meters).
In the men's hammer throw, Jake Norris and Jon Nerdal took the top two collegiate spots in the event with throws of 231' 4.
