Baton Rouge, La. – Lisa Gunnarsson and Jake Norris of the LSU track and field team earned SEC Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday afternoon, the SEC office announced.
Norris, the SEC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, registered a season best throw of 70' 8" (21.54 meters) on Friday at the LSU Twilight to win a gold medal in the event. It was the fifth farthest throw of the weekend in the NCAA and it ranked him No. 16 in the nation for the 2020 indoor season. It was his second event title of the year in the weight throw.
