Grading college football's new coaching hires across the country

The theme of the 2021-22 college football coaching carousel has been speed.

Firings are happening quickly, and so are hirings. Florida got things started on Sunday by bringing in Louisiana's Billy Napier to take over for Dan Mullen. Then USC stunned the CFB world by poaching Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma. Another shocker came Monday, when Brian Kelly left for LSU. The Irish have now responded by promoting defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman to the top job.

Like the carousel itself, the coaching grades are also coming in hot. Several factors go into the grades, most importantly how a certain coach fits the program he's set to lead.
