BATON ROUGE – The awards keeping coming for senior pitcher Maribeth Gorsuch as she has been named NFCA Pitcher of the Week, announced by the NFCA this afternoon.
This is just the fourth NFCA Pitcher of the Week honor in program history and the first national honor for Gorsuch. She earned SEC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Gorsuch was on fire in the circle as she pitched two shutout victories, including the first seven-inning perfect game in program history. For the week, she totaled 22 strikeouts in 12 innings and allowed just one hit and one walk.
