Garrett Nussmeier entered the 2025 season among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. The veteran QB is off to a slow start, and has been battling a torso injury through the first quarter of the season. Thus, his Heisman odds have taken a bit of a nosedive in recent weeks.
But, Nussmeier was able to get going against Southeastern Louisiana in Week 4 with a 273 yard and three touchdown performance. He was back to his normal efficient self by completing 25 of his 31 pass attempts. A performance against an FCS team isn't going to impact his Heisman odds, but Tiger fans are hoping it helped get Nussmeier and company into a rhythm before going head-to-head with Ole Miss this Saturday.
