The future of the LSU to the MLB pipeline is alive and thriving, and there may soon be two more former greats getting called up to The Show.
Major League Baseball announced the rosters for this year’s All-Star Futures Game and former Tigers Gage Jump and Tommy White will both be heading to Truist Park in Atlanta to participate.
Jump and White are both part of the...well not Oakland anymore but West Sacramento A’s? Las Vegas A’s? Well whatever they’re called, Jump and White are part of the A’s organization. The two were taken fairly early in last summer’s draft: White just missed out on the first round, going 40th overall, but the club went over slot value and signed him to a $3 million deal; Jump, on the other hand, went 73rd overall, where the A’s made him their “Competitive Balance Round B” (whatever that means) pick.
