When Brian Kelly took over the LSU Football program in 2021, one of his first moves was to fire Strength and Conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt. The beloved coach had been at LSU since 2000, serving as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator before getting promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Strength & Conditioning in 2016. Moffitt joined Mike Elko's staff at Texas A&M in 2024, and his return to Death Valley this past weekend was personal.
The Aggies humiliated the Tigers by a score of 49-25. LSU fans were heading for the exits early at Tiger Stadium, and the embarrassing loss proved to be too much for Brian Kelly to keep his job.
