With Hurricane Ida expected to make landfall on the Louisiana coast on Sunday, the LSU football team is evacuating to Houston ahead of its season opener against UCLA.
LSU will spend Sunday through Thursday in Houston and then depart for Los Angeles.

Ida has strengthened to a Category 4 storm and Louisiana governor John Bel Edwards said Ida “will be one of the strongest hurricanes that hit anywhere in Louisiana since at least the 1850s.
