Last night, multiple reports surfaced stating that LSU and offensive coordinator Matt Canada are parting ways after the bowl game, and I can’t say that I’m shocked. The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger reports that “officials at LSU have been in discussion with Canada’s representatives on a potential settlement for a split with the coach” and that a possible replacement is longtime assistant Steve Ensminger. If you’re wondering what’s at the heart of this, I’ll give you my two cents. I don’t think this is so much a matter of Coach O not liking Canada’s offensive philosophy as it is the two coaches butting heads.
