Is it a nick, or a whack? It looks as if the injury to LSU’s Derrius Guice may be more serious than fans in Baton Rouge originally thought.
LSU coach Ed Orgeron said that the star running back is “very questionable” for Saturday’s matchup against Syracuse, making the statement on the weekly SEC coaches’ teleconference.
That’s a more pessimistic assessment than Guice received earlier in the week.
After last week’s 37-7 loss to Mississippi State, Guice said that he was a “little nicked,” apparently the result of an injury while being caught up in a pile during the third quarter against the Bulldogs.
