Destrehan 2019 RB John Emery was one of six underclassmen to earn an invite to Nike's The Opening Finals Wednesday.
Emery becomes the eighth Louisiana prospect that will compete at the event joining Rummel 2018 receiver Ja'Marr Chase, Plaquemine DT and LSU commit Nelson Jenkins, Parkway wide receiver Terrace Marshall, Scotlandville defensive back Kelvin Joseph, Evangel linebacker Micah Baskerville and Parkway quarterback Justin Rogers and Landry-Walker cornerback Corione Harris.
Emery, 6-foot, 195 pounds, is one of the top prospects in the 2019 class and this spring earned offers from LSU, Tennessee, Auburn and Kansas.
