Derrius Guice tears ACL in NFL preseason debut: report

The injury to Derrius Guice turned out to be worse than originally feared.

The former LSU running back selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft tore the ACL in his left knee in the first quarter of his first career preseason game.

NFL Network reported the ACL tear Friday (Aug. 10). The network first reported an initial diagnosis of an MCL sprain earlier Friday, one day after he rushed six times for 19 yards in his preseason debut with the Washington Redskins.

Heading into the MRI, the hope was #Redskins RB Derrius Guice had suffered just an MCL injury, but the way he walked off the plane was concerning.
