It was sunny, cool and windy Thursday for LSU football’s seventh spring practice under first-year coach Brian Kelly. Our Jim Kleinpeter was out there to take in the action and provide a few notes and video that I pulled from for today’s report.
Let’s get the obligatory former-Tiger-who-attended-practice note out of the way. It was freshly-minted NFL Hall of Famer Kevin Mawae, who chatted for a bit with Kelly. It’s great to see so many former Tigers back around the program.
Speaking of offensive linemen. Will Campbell took reps at first team left tackle with Miles Frazier at right guard as Kelly and his staff continue to shuffle the deck there.
