Saturday night’s season opener between the LSU football team and the McNeese State Cowboys certainly did not appease the fans, as the game was cancelled less than five minutes into the first quarter. That is far from the biggest issue surrounding the cancellation for the Tigers, however.
This week, the Bayou Bengals head to Starkville, Miss. for a showdown with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, an opponent for which they could have tremendously benefited from the warmup game scheduled against McNeese State.
