Senior defensive end Andre Anthony will miss the remainder of the 2021 football season with a knee injury head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed to reporters Monday.
“Andre has a season ending injury,” Orgeron said. “But he will be with us this year, and whatever the next step is from there, we will find out.”
Anthony went down with a non-contact injury midway through Saturday’s win over Central Michigan. He had already made a massive impact in the game with returning a fumble for a touchdown.
Anthony had also turned into LSU’s best pass rusher over the last two seasons.
