Alex Lange 'really pumped' for LSU win after tough start against Florida State

OMAHA, Neb. -- He didn't have the kind of outing he hoped for, but Alex Lange left the park Saturday happy about the overall result.

The first-round drafted right-hander pitched into the seventh inning and left with Florida State leading by one run before LSU scored twice in the eighth and won 5-4.

Lange struck out eight and walked four. He gave up seven hits, including a two-run homer to the second batter he faced -- Dylan Busby's shot cleared the fence in deep center field and came after a leadoff walk to Taylor Walls.

"I just hate letting my team down," Lange said.
