Garrett Nussmeier may be LSU’s starting quarterback for the ReliaQuest Bowl, but if he wants to be the starter for the 2024 season he’s got some competition rolling into Baton Rouge.
Former Vanderbilt quarterback AJ Swann announced he’ll be transferring to LSU. Swann picked LSU over South Carolina, as the Tigers were reportedly recruiting him very hard.
LSU couldn’t allow itself to head into 2024 with only Garrett Nussmeier, redshirt freshman Rickie Collins, and incoming true freshman Colin Hurley on the depth chart. By adding Swann, the Tigers have now mixed in some experience into the quarterback room.
