The LSU Tigers dropped their first game of the 2025 season 24-19 to the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday afternoon. The offense continued to struggle, and while the defense kept the Tigers in it, Ole Miss' dynamic offense was simply too much to handle in the end. Ole Miss out-gained LSU 480-254, and the Rebels posted a 8-for-16 mark on third down while the Tigers went a measly 2-for-12.
To make matter worse, LSU suffered multiple injuries in the contest. Perhaps most notably, LSU's top wide receiver Aaron Anderson departed in the first half and would not return.
