The No. 10 LSU hosted Louisiana-Lafayette in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Baseball Classic on Tuesday night in front of 10,131 fans at Zephyr Field and the Tigers (15-5) walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Ragin' Cajuns (12-9).

Here are some observations from the ball game:

Fraley and Freeman among standouts

Center fielder Jake Fraley and second baseman Cole Freeman each finished with two hits and two RBI for the Tigers. Kramer Robertson and Brody Wofford also had two hits for LSU.

Tip of the cap to Beau Jordan

The sophomore left fielder from Barbe made a heck of a play to end the top of the fourth inning for the Tigers.
