It’d be foolish to jump to any conclusions just yet, but I have to say I liked what I saw yesterday during LSU’s first day of preseason football practice. We in the media were allowed to watch the entire thing, though we could only shoot video during the first three periods, which consisted almost entirely of individual drills. But in the periods that followed, we saw enough 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 work to confidently say this team is deep and versatile. Only time will tell how that translates on game day.
