Good morning, Tiger Fans,

Nicholls flashed some mighty fine leather in a 6-5 victory against LSU last night, but the Tigers didn’t do themselves any favors with some late-inning mistakes that proved costly. With the loss — the Tigers’ second consecutive midweek loss to an in-state opponent —LSU fell to 32-8 on the season.

LSU entered the game a bit shorthanded, as Tré Morgan, Tommy White and Brady Neal each missed with injuries. Hayden Travinski got the start behind the dish after his late-inning heroics against Ole Miss, and he got the Tigers out of a threat early by picking off a base runner on a steal attempt in the second inning.
