The top-ranked Tiger baseball team took care of business in its final non-conference game before the start of SEC play, soundly defeating UNO 16-0. With the win, LSU extended its win streak to 11 games and improved to 16-1 heading into SEC play.
The game ended up being a complete blowout, but it took a little while to get there. Both teams squandered opportunities in the early goings and were held scoreless through four and a half innings. The Tigers threatened in the first when they loaded the bases on a pair of hit batsmen and a walk, but all were left stranded.
