Will Campbell didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called by Roger Goodell.
Campbell was picked fourth overall by the New England Patriots in Thursday’s NFL Draft. Campbell is the first former Tiger offensive linemen to go in the first round since Alan Faneca went 26th overall to Pittsburgh. Campbell now holds the distinction as the highest drafted LSU offensive linemen in program history.
Campbell was everything you could have hoped for from high school recruit. He lived up to his five-star status and then some, taking over the starting left tackle job basically from the moment he set foot on campus.
