LSU's Leonard Fournette Takes Out Insurance Policies Totaling $20 Million

LSU Tigers running back Leonard Fournette is projected to be a top 10 or 15 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and to protect himself against getting injured, he has taken out two separate $10 million insurance policies from Kaymore Sports Risk Management.

One policy covers him in the event of a career-ending injury, and the other covers him for other circumstances that could cause him to drop in the draft.

According to CBS Sports. NCAA insurance policies usually cost $8,000 for $1 million of coverage.

Fournette ran the ball 300 times in 2015, and is expected to receive a similar workload again as the focal point of LSU's offense. He set LSU single-season records with 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns last season.
