LSU vs. Florida: 3 Things We Learned From LSU's Win

The #6 LSU Tigers defeated the #3 Florida Gators in a 35-28 thriller. It was a battle of undefeated teams, and Florida was the one who added a tally to the wrong side of the win-loss column. It was a classic LSU game, featuring a trick play. Here are three things we learned from LSU's win over Florida.

3. Florida Can't Ask Treon Harris To Do So Much

Florida's offense leaned heavily on Harris, which isn't a recipe for success. Harris isn't TCU QB Trevone Boykin, so asking him to throw the ball 32 times and run it 15 times isn't fair. Harris did what he could, but he's still a young QB. Florida needs to have a better offensive game plan going forward.

2. Les Miles Will Never Change

No words needed.

1. LSU Is A National Championship Threat

I wanted to see LSU play a team better than Mississippi State before declaring this and UF qualifies. It was a close game, but LSU proved it has what it takes to compete for a College Football Playoff bid. They beat Florida with Leonard Fournette having a "meh" night, which is still 180 yards on 31 carries. QB Brandon Harris played well, and that bodes well for LSU. The Tigers still have three games against ranked SEC teams (assuming Ole Miss doesn't fall out after losing to Memphis), so they still have challenges ahead. However, LSU can make a CFP run.
