National Signing Day is less than a week away and the Tigers made the jump to #4 in the 2020 recruiting rankings thanks to the commitments of 4-star RB Kevontre Bradford and 4-star WR Alex Adams. Coach O isn’t satisfied with the class just yet, still targeting 5-star DL Jordan Burch. Burch is one of the nation’s top 10 recruits and visited LSU over the weekend for an unofficial visit. The #7 prospect committed to South Carolina during Early Signing period, however, did not actually sign during the 3-day window. Therefore, Burch’s recruitment is still very much open and the Tigers are favored to flip him.

LSU Football has also made quite a few coaching changes, starting with hiring Bo Pelini as the new defensive coordinator to replace Dave Arnda. Pelini’s contract is a 3-year deal worth $2.3MM per year, just shy of what Aranda was making at $2.5 MM. This is Bo Pelini’s second stint at LSU and he’s set to become the second highest-paid assistant in the nation, below Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele, who just signed a new $2.5 million per year deal. Quite the upgrade from the $214K he was making as head coach at Youngstown State.

Joe Brady left for the LSU and the hunt is on for his replacements. One name mentioned by Coach O to replace Brady is Jorge Munoz. In a recent interview with 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge, Orgeron said that Munoz could be a candidate to return to LSU as the passing game coordinator. This comes just days after Jorge Munoz was announced as the WR coach for Baylor. Could Coach O lure Munoz back to Baton Rouge? Carter Bryant weighs in.
