LSU Football: Everything You Need To Know About LSU’s 2020 Recruiting Class + Malcolm Greene News

LSU Football is clicking on all cylinders. The Tigers beat Georgia in the SEC Championship, Joe Burrow is about to win the Heisman and LSU is preparing to play in the College Football Playoffs for the first time in program history. Quite the year for the Bayou Bengals. With so much success, it’s easy to understand why the LSU Tigers are in the Top 3 of recruiting. Carter Bryant, host of College Football Now, is here to break down everything you need to know about the 2020 recruiting class and battle between LSU and Clemson for Malcolm Greene.

Coach Orgeron said that LSU recruiting is “off the charts” thanks in part to three 5-star recruits, one of those being Arik Gilbert. Gilbert is the #9 overall prospect and #1 ranked tight end, who is expected to come in and play right away. LSU’s offense has been dynamic this year, and based on the 2020 WR class, it looks like it’ll stay that way.

LSU’s wide receiver class is the strongest position group, made up of 5-star Rakim Jarrett and three 4-star commits in Kayshon Boutte, Jermaine Burton, and Koy Moore. While Ja’Mar Chase and Terrace Marshall Jr. are set to return, Carter explains that Joe Brady and the LSU wide receiver group is set for big things in the coming years IN THE VIDEO ABOVE AND BELOW.

Safety Grant Delpit and cornerback Kristian Fulton are headed to the NFL and underclassman DBs JaCoby Stevens and Kary Vincent could also possibly leave. Luckily for the LSU secondary, they’re filled a major need with 5-star CB Elias Ricks and 3 additional DB commits. One area LSU still needs to address in recruiting is offensive line. Starting guards Adrian Magee and Damien Lewis are both seniors and center Lloyd Cushenberry III could leave early. Saahdiq Charles and Austin Deculus, the starting tackles, are both juniors so Coach O will need to add some much needed depth on the line.
