In its first season in the Atlantic 10 (A-10) the Loyola women’s volleyball team (18-7, 12-0) is on a 12-game win streak, holding first place in the conference and going undefeated in conference play. The team is off to its best start in league play in program history after a season filled with injuries and adversity.
This season has not been an easy one for the program. The team overcame adversity early on in the season, with three injuries after just the first few matches. Two seniors — middle blocker Taylor Venuto and outside hitter Addie Barnes — were both out for the Chicago Cup, resulting in a three match loss for the team.
