Loyola was selected to host the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) women’s soccer tournament, MVC commissioner Doug Elgin announced Thursday afternoon.
The proposed sites for women’s soccer and all other sports the MVC offers were approved by the MVC’s Joint Committee, which is made up of faculty athletics representatives, athletics directors and senior woman administrators of each school. The MVC Presidents’ Council will vote to ratify Elgin’s recommendation June 13-14.
The tournament will begin with games Oct. 28 at other campuses which will be determined based on the final standings. The semifinals and championship will be Nov.
