The Loyola women’s basketball team was picked to finish ninth out of 10 teams in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) preseason poll Thursday morning.
The poll was voted on by coaches, school information directors and members of the media. This is the Ramblers’ highest finish in the poll since the 2015-16 season.
Loyola head coach Kate Achter is set to begin her third season in Rogers Park this year after finishing 7-23 last year — a five-win improvement from 2016-17. She returns seven players from last year’s roster, including 2018 MVC All-Freshman team nominee Abby O’Connor.
