The Loyola men’s basketball team (8-2, 1-0) finds itself once again at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). As of Dec. 7, the Ramblers are ranked No. 22 in the NET rankings and No. 28 in the KenPom rankings.
Loyola will return to MVC play on the road against Southern Illinois University Jan. 2. Before then, the Phoenix has looked into how the rest of the Valley teams have been competing so far.

Drake (5-3, 1-0) was selected to finish first in the 2021-2022 MVC Preseason Poll after securing the program’s first NCAA tournament win in fifty years when it defeated Wichita State University during the First Four March 18.
